Today we handed in our project the webpage. Although we finished the creating the database on a webpage, we have to be ready for the oral defense which will be on Sunday, the 7th of June.

Today I found some mistakes in the codes. So, I sat with my group member “Marwa” and she helped me in correcting and finding the mistakes in the PHP codes. I corrected most of the mistakes in the codes.

After, managing to convert the whole Access database to Mysql, we faced some problems in our webpage and the PHP codes. We really felt anxious as it is really hard to go through all the codes for each query to check what and where the mistakes are.

We had a problem in Mysql, as we converted the Access file to Mysql using software, we discovered that it didn’t convert all the data and queries as it is a trial and we have to buy it in order to convert the whole database. We suffered in searching a website or software that can convert the whole database for free. However, after a hard time and a huge effort we succeeded in finding software that converts the whole Access database to Mysql.

Finallllllllllly I finished my part =D ... Bye Bye "PHP"
I finished coding most of the queries. I got stuck in some of them, and again with help from our friend ‘Hafsa’ I managed to finish them and test them.

But !! We have problem now !!
We don’t know how to create the form and connect it with our database. That is our main obstacle now!!
I’m trying hard to solve it by searching more about it and asking students from other classes.

On Sunday, the 24th May 2009 ..
Today, I went to the library and borrowed some useful book and looked through them. Also, I downloaded the PHP program from the internet which called “php coder”. I tried to use and play with it but I found it complicated. However, I started to understand it and I and my friend “Marwa” asked our classmate “Hafsa” to help me us in starting with quires and their codes. She really gave us her precious time to teach us the PHP codes. We sat with her and she taught us step by step how to create a code in PHP, how to make it work, and how to test it. We really understood it fully and now we are able to start coding and building our database.
After a long suffer, We were able to finish the PHP coding for Query 12. We were finished the Query 12 and tested it using the XAMPP (phpAdmin) website, and it worked.

I started to search about php. PHP is a scripting language originally designed for producing dynamic web pages. It has evolved to include a command line interface capability and can be used in standalone graphical applications.
Also, I went through “tizag”, “w3schools” and “php.net” and tried my best to understand about php. However, I don’t know how I will start work in coding, so I’m planning to go to the library on Sunday InshaAllah...
